Celtic Manor Resort

Host venue of the 2014 NATO Summit and the 2010 Ryder Cup, The Celtic Manor Resort is one of Europe’s finest destinations for business, golf and leisure.
The state-of-the-art venue is accessible, versatile and offers every possible amenity with flexible space for a wide range of conferences, events, exhibitions, product launches, dinners and concerts.
With 600 bedrooms spread over four hotels and 10 executive lodges, three championship golf courses, two luxury spas and health clubs, and extensive adventure activities for team building on a 2,000-acre site, Celtic Manor has gained a reputation as one of the most versatile conference resorts in Europe.
The resort enjoyed a record year in 2017 with total revenues increasing by more than six per cent. Hotel occupancy also grew from 89 per cent to 91 per cent in 2017 and the average room rate climbed from £100.10 to £105.28.
The Conference and Banqueting sector of the business showed even greater revenue growth with a nine per cent increase on 2016.
In all, 1450 MICE groups stayed at Celtic Manor in the past year and a large number of these were repeat business from loyal clients, some of whom have been returning for annual events for more than 10 years.
The Convention Centre adjoins the main Resort Hotel and has a total floor space of 6,000 square metres and its largest room, the Caernarfon Suite, can hold 1,500 delegates for a lecture or 900 dining guests for a gala dinner. The Exhibition Hall offers 1,200 square metres of exhibiting floor space.
Having completed a £6m refurbishment of Resort Hotel bedrooms in 2017, Celtic Manor is now building an £83.7m International Convention Centre Wales, in a joint venture partnership with the Welsh Government. Opening in July 2019 it will have capacity for 5,000 delegates.
