Fisher Productions have managed and produced L’Oréal’s Colour Trophy Tour and The ROI Grand Final for five years. In 2016 they won a 4 way pitch to design and produce the UK Grand Final for the first time, together with the tour and ROI Final.
Fisher took the Tour to 9 regional venues in April 2016, culminating in the ROI Grand Final and the UK Grand Final to find category winners in June 2016.
The competition is a flagship event for L’Oréal Professionnel, aimed at the hairdressing industry, salon owners and salon teams inspiring them to push creative boundaries and celebrate Hair Inspired by Fashion. Fisher Productions were tasked with strengthening this alliance and to create a series of inspirational live hairdressing competitions, complete with branding, staging, AV content.
The Fisher team were also briefed to redesign the tour format in order to evolve the competition further. The Fisher team came up with an overarching concept to echo the excitement of Fashion Week in London behind the scenes and front of house and this was translated into the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Backstage Live Tour. Previously known as the Colour Trophy Tour, this name change hinted at the excitement and glamour of the tour to come.
Fisher created a simple but modular set that reinforced the backstage concept and its simplicity meant that the Fisher crew could install in a variety of different sized venues with relative ease. To ensure guests felt part of the backstage experience, rather than allocated seating they were able to freely walk around and engage with the different stylists and competitors taking part.
This theme was continued further to create two all-encompassing high energy award finals in London and ROI.
