Executive Summary

mcm designed, project managed and technically delivered 20 simultaneous events across the UK, featuring 40 different speakers, presenting to a combined audience of 3000.

On Wednesday, 18 May, at 6pm, one of the year’s most impactful events for start-ups and budding business leaders took place. Created and managed by mcm creative group and backed by the UK government, the Entrepreneurs Exchange events, saw 40 of the UK's most successful entrepreneurs offer business advice, for free, to over 3000 people at 20 locations around the UK. 

Our goal was to deliver a series of events that would inspire the next generation of business owners to grow their business, to be inspired and get practical help to make a real difference. We would create a platform that would allow those guests to hear how these established entrepreneurs set up and grew their businesses, the challenges they overcame to enable success, and the advice they wish they had been given at an early stage in their careers.

By engaging with young entrepreneurs on social media before, during and after the events, the messages were able to be spread to a wider audience estimated to be in the region of over 2m online and many millions more through radio, tv and print.

With high profile endorsement at launch from the Prime Minister, guest speakers such as Sir Charles Dunstone, Anya Hindmarch, Baroness Michelle Mone and Jo Malone, it was crucial that our planning, strategic thinking and delivery was first class, alongside a very prudent budget.

The project took place over several months of planning and preparation and in the words of the team at the Cabinet Office “Would not have happened without mcm”.
