Over 600 delegates attended the annual 2 day Managers Seminar at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. Held in the hangar-sized blank canvas of the Jaguar Hall, delegates were invited to the Dunelm Film Festival! The concept gave the conference an immersive platform, delivering maximum interaction for delegates.
Meet & Potato transformed 5,000 sqm of hall into a cinematic experience. Collecting their event tickets and programme from the Box Office, enjoying VIP themed catering fit for Hollywood, delegates eagerly awaited the official opening of the Festival under an enormous canopy of lights. Tension built, with cinematic music scores, classic movies projected onto inflatable domes, and a roving reporter captured excited comments on film.
The art deco entrance showcased a cinema style set up, with a 20 metre projection screen and red curtain backdrop. Key messages were introduced by a show stopping Opening VT, cleverly crafted from film excerpts. Delegates spent time in interactive Customer and Product focussed sessions, and the day was topped with an Oscar gala dinner and awards ceremony.
Day 2 saw the introduction of themed film studios, to bring to life key areas of Retail Operations. The days content was brought together with a Film Critics Review, where regional teams congregated to create the key message cascade for their colleagues in store or at head office.
Post conference feedback gave a 93% satisfaction score, and comments included: “I honestly thought it was the best I've been to, and gave a real sense of achievement.”
""The conference has set a precedent for future years. We are extremely happy with the delivery of the event and our key messages for business growth. Well done to everyone involved – it was a true team effort!"" Dunelm Project Manager
