Allan Boyle

Director of Event Services

 

Allan Boyle joined the NEC Group in September 2014 as Director of Event Services for the Group Convention Centres (GCC), a role created to support the businesses ambitious growth strategy. In this role Allan leads on all event operations at the established ICC in Birmingham City Centre and the Groups newest conference, the Vox, adjacent to the NEC as part of the integrated complex Resorts World, which opened in 2015.
With over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality and events industry, Allan has a reputable eye for detail and he leads from the front with his passion for instilling exceptionally high standard of service. This is reflected in customer satisfaction scores, with both venues consistently receiving over 9/10 from clients.
Allan was no stranger to the ICC as he held the position of catering manager for 13 years until moving to Ireland to take on the role as Catering Director of The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) in 2009 where he was tasked with setting up the catering contract and hospitality function. He then moved into the role of Events Operations Director in 2010 to oversee the full operational delivery of the business.
From 2014 to 2016 Allan held a dual role overseeing all three venues whilst The CCD was under the successful management contract of the GCC.
