CogX is the UK’s largest technology festival and the largest AI festival outside of China. The festival of AI and Emerging Technology features a unique gathering of the leading figures shaping AI today. CogX kicked off it’s third year at London’s Technology Week in June 2019 and brought together the brightest minds on the planet from industry, government and academia to provide clarity and tangible insights on the fast-evolving world of AI.
The team approached Marble LDN to design and produce the 2019 festival at 4 times the size of the 2018 event. This involved hosting 20,000 attendees over three days, and 687 speakers across 12 purpose built stages. The location and design of the event were of paramount importance as CogX moves to establish itself as one of the leading technology events in the UK, with a large number of high profile speakers and attendees.
The successful result took place during 10th – 12th June at a 67-acre area in Kings Cross. Opened by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, the speaker line-up featured international Government Secretaries of State, Ministers and business leaders from HSBC, Accenture, IBM, Alibaba, Google, Unilever, QuantumBlack and more. We partnered with screenwriter Richard Curtis and his company Project Everyone, which seeks to put the power of communications behind the UN Sustainable Development Goals (also known as the Global Goals). It was clear that this was a pivotal event in the technology calendar across the world, the festival attracted attendees from over 98 countries.
In addition to hosting content and awards for business leaders, academics and researchers, CogX also teamed up with Founders4Schools and Teens in AI to encourage young people to pursue computing and technology, and promote diversity in the growing field.
