etc.venues runs dedicated non-residential venues in London, Birmingham, Manchester and New York offering contemporary purpose-built venues with a passion for design, tech and food. As the effects of Covid-19 started to show, rather than close our sales offices, we kept them open with a “Dream Team” of 15 working from home, in order to ensure continuity of our client relationships.
Through challenging times, the Team have remained committed to our sector and have been instrumental in etc.venues business continuity. The Dream Team have worked hard to build etc.venues “18 point plan” with our operational Team to bring confidence back into the meetings and event industry. They have engaged with clients and partners to offer creative technical solutions for events that due to government guidelines initially wanted to cancel or postpone, recognising the need for a return to face-to-face meetings. They have engaged with our clients, carried out research in key sectors and thought outside the box to look at new markets resulting in £12m on the books for 2021 from retained clients and £2m new business.
Throughout, The Dream Team have remained optimistic about the future, supporting each other, the business, their colleagues and their wider communities through challenging times. For all of these reasons, we believe they greatly deserve recognition.
Whilst this has been a difficult time for our industry – through the efforts of The Dream Team – we are confident going forwards.
