Shop Direct hold their annual conference each September – over 900 colleagues, suppliers and senior management come together to share the joined up plans for the 13 weeks of Christmas across finance, retail operations and financial services, and bring to life the company’s ambition to be a World Class Digital Retailer.
They also want to reward success, live their values and have some fun. September is the month that kicks off the Golden Quarter for Shop Direct. The company achieves over 40% of its turnover in the 13 weeks before Christmas.
It is therefore imperative to the business that all colleagues are fired up and motivated for the Christmas period and understand their part in the plan and how they can maximize performance in the peak period.
Following the success of the previous 4 years, HGA were appointed to manage the production of the 2015 Shop Direct Christmas conference at the BT ConventionCentre in Liverpool.
900 delegates and suppliers, a one day conference, keynote presentations and breakouts, a bespoke conference app, a fashion show, colleague based entertainment and an exhibition,…this is the story of the journey – from initial briefing to the event day – a period of 6 months.
