Since launching in 2013, CAPTUR has become Renault UK’s (RUK) best-selling model. As one of the first B-SUV models in the market, it has led the growth of the segment. Now with over twenty rivals competing for a share of voice, All-New CAPTUR represented an exciting opportunity for the dealer network. With an improved, modern design and brand-new technologies including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a brand new multimedia system and shortly after its initial launch, autonomous driving, and hybrid technology, it was clear emphasis should be aimed towards technology.

Ignition has been an established training supplier for Groupe Renault UK for seven years, delivering large-scale product launches since 2013. In fact, our first partnership with the brand was the original launch of CAPTUR.

The most recent event was delivered across 5 days in January 2020, based at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry. MTC is an innovative conference space with a 252-seater auditorium that boasts cinematic projection screen, dedicated exhibition spaces and connected technology throughout made it the ideal venue for the launch as its hi-tech feel mirrored the vehicle itself and the brand’s positioning overall.

It was key we delivered a high-impact, memorable experience which built excitement and enthusiasm for the product that delegates could take back and share with their customers.

The feedback and results were highly positive. The launch demonstrated the impact of face-to-face programmes and benefits of a hands-on experience, which was enhanced with clear, relevant, and applicable use of technologies that maximised delegates’ learning, knowledge retention and experience
