The London-based Central Events team is made up of five people, managing around 180 client-facing events a year in the UK and overseas such as conferences, residential offsites, roadshows, dinners and exhibitions. This includes events for the main business areas, for corporate level / senior management stakeholders and also supporting other organisations (in particular charities) by hosting their events using our building facilities and teams.

We believe that our events team is best in class as we are very much a solid unit!  With over 30 years of experience combined, as a team we pool our knowledge, experiences and resources to deliver quality event experiences. Our team includes three working-mums and two junior members, who all share a similar approach to event management, personal development and emotional support on stressful occasions!

About 30% of our events programme is at our HQ, and last September Schroders moved offices, meaning completely new events spaces for us to ‘own’, new processes for suppliers working in the building, and different offerings from the catering and auxiliary teams.

Our teams’ ‘best practice’ approach encourages partnership with marketing and the stakeholder to ensure successful delivery of events to meet business objectives. We monitor that each event has a coherent and powerful central narrative which reflects the interests and concerns of the audience, and we appreciate that  ‘pre’ and ‘post-event’ engagement is just as important as the live event.
