EML Team were approached by Parker Hannifin to support them in the design and delivery of a Safety inspired Team Building Day to be staged at their premises in Warwick.
The client needed a team building event to:
üleave their 70 strong team more cohesive and energised for the next 12 months.
übuild on their existing focus on safety by highlighting the importance of safety at work.
übe tailored for a commercial space including loading bays, storage areas and offices.
übe designed and delivered within budget.
What we delivered:
After site visits we agreed on a bespoke, project based team building solution called Soap Box Derby as the theme of their day.
Teams would initially undertake a series of safety themed team building activities, each with a strong component of learning, including:
üa safe movement workshop delivered by an expert trainer focusing on avoiding back / neck pain and sciatica as well as living a happy and healthy life.
üa series of facilitated team building challenges highlighting the importance that effective and precise communication plays in operating safely in the workplace.
üAn accident investigation exercise designed with RoSPA in which teams examine the evidence from a fictitious accident in order to identify its root cause.
In part 2 teams applied their safety insights to our Soap Box Derby which included:
üan activity health and safety analysis and presentation from each team
üthe design and construction of a soap box derby racer
üa final race
Parker Hannifin Site Manager:
“Last week was a great event. I have only received positive feedback from our employees. The day was highly relevant, well thought through and the management team were delighted with how the team building event tied in with our objectives.”
