The Art Of Possible - From Well to Wheel

Aramco holds a networking reception during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, for world leaders and VIPs in the energy and finance industries. This year the challenge was to align the whole event and all of their communications to the WEF2020 theme for the meeting which was “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World”. A challenging task for the World’s largest oil company you might think.

However, they wanted to demonstrate to their guests how they are leading the charge in sustainability when it comes to efficient low carbon energy production.
Brandfuel very effectively revealed this as a narrative titled “From Well To Wheel” told through an exhibition experience broken down into six chapters demonstrating the use of world-leading technology and innovation across the entire production process.
The journey started with immersing guests virtually, 5000 feet deep into the world’s largest onshore oil field to see and hear how the multiple wells and lateral drilling processes are achieved through TeraPowers data mapping of the entire sixteen-kilometer oil field. They saw how an employee of the company found an amazing use of the waste products from date palms in the drilling process. Then finally, the story finished with seeing a transparent car demonstrating how their research facility in Detroit is challenging the whole motor industry to rethink the combustion engine, through enhancing fuel efficiencies and pioneering mobile carbon capture technology to fix 50% of CO2 emissions that can later be converted to advanced polymers in manufacturing.

Through high tech immersive storytelling and clever use of technology, we highlighted Aramco’s leadership in sustainability and carbon capture to Energy Ministers, Royalty and global VVIP guests, at a two-hour drinks reception which included the exhibition experience and keynote speech from the CEO, Mr. Amin Nasser.
