6 Days That Changed Everything:In a technology sector where products are commoditised and pricing is identical, one company discovered that the most powerful differentiator isn't innovation—it's connection. TD Synnex brought 150 competitors together for six days in South Korea. They arrived as rivals. Yet they left as advocates for each other's success!
The Challenge:
TD Synnex faced a profound challenge: authentically recognise top performers from competing companies, strengthen loyalty, and inspire genuine advocacy. These were senior decision-makers aged 30–65, accustomed to luxury and skeptical of corporate theatre.
The Strategy:
We chose South Korea deliberately. The country reconciles heritage and innovation in a way that mirrors TD Synnex's own DNA—moving forward without erasing its past. We structured a dual-destination journey from Seoul's modernity to Busan's contemplative spaces, creating a narrative arc that mirrored the company's evolution.
Programme Design:
The six-day journey unfolded with intention. At Gyeongbokgung Palace, participants grounded themselves in heritage. Tea ceremonies invited mindfulness. The transformational moment came during taekwondo training, where 150 competitors stood together learning discipline, respect, and shared purpose. In Busan, they visited Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, making traditional offerings—a ritual connecting them to something larger than themselves. The farewell gala celebrated what they had become: collaborators instead of competitors. The Results: The outcome was exceptional... • 100% felt the event strengthened their relationship with TD Synnex • 100% would recommend it to peers • 90% gained deeper appreciation for the company globally The Power of Experience Design:
Participants returned as advocates, with loyalty that transcended the transactional and became emotional and lasting. Those who missed out became the most powerful advocates of all—FOMO transformed into desire, desire into word-of-mouth, and word-of-mouth turned into a waiting list for the next experience.
