BI WORLDWIDE x Elsevier Global Sales Conferences

BI WORLDWIDE

Client: Elsevier

Copenhagen & London

In February 2026, BI WORLDWIDE delivered a flagship global conference programme for Elsevier, bringing together two major international sales communities across back-to-back events in Copenhagen and London. Designed as a single strategic initiative, the conferences supported a major rebrand, the rollout of a new AI-focused commercial strategy, and a period of significant organisational change.

The programme comprised the Elsevier World Sales Conference in Copenhagen, welcoming 645 delegates from Corporate, Academic and Government markets, followed by the One Health Global Sales Conference in London for 569 Health colleagues. Each audience required a distinct tone and emphasis, but both needed clarity, confidence and momentum for the year ahead. The challenge was to deliver two large scale conferences in rapid succession, with aligned messaging, consistent quality and tailored experiences.

Both events were designed around interaction, storytelling and practical application rather than passive presentation. Content was delivered through short, focused sessions, multiple breakout streams and gamified elements that encouraged participation and connection. City-led creative concepts brought each destination to life, from a private evening at the Royal Danish Opera House to an immersive takeover of the Natural History Museum in London.

Delegate experience was prioritised at every touchpoint, from streamlined travel and registration to personalised agendas, real time communications and post event content via the SpotMe platform. Sustainability and inclusion were embedded from the outset, with venue selection, catering, materials and accessibility all carefully considered.

Results exceeded expectations. Attendance reached 99% for the Copenhagen conference, year-on-year growth was achieved across both events, app engagement peaked at 97%, and feedback scores showed strong increases in motivation, confidence and understanding of strategic priorities. Leadership praised the calm, collaborative delivery and the ability to create energy, alignment and tangible behavioural change at a critical moment for the business.
