Buildbase builders merchant enlisted Ulterior Events to bring their annual incentive trip for 60 clients back with a bang after a two-year hiatus owing to the pandemic. The goal was to create a trip of a lifetime that would motivate building company owners to spend with Buildbase and think highly of the company.

Planning began in June 2021 when people could only meet in groups of 30 or less, overnight stays were only permitted for groups of six people and most of the world was still on the red list. As such, it took a huge leap of faith from the client, firm reassurance from Ulterior Events, and great mutual trust after having worked together for six years, for the incentive to be signed off. To guarantee sunshine, a ‘wow factor’ and a truly unforgettable trip Ulterior Events planned an action-packed four-day itinerary in Dubai and Abu Dhabi taking in a rib boat and yachting experience, tour of the Grand Mosque, dune bashing, Saturday Brunch and gala dinner. The split locations meant keeping up to date with and navigating Covid restrictions across two emirates from the planning stages right through to the trip itself. After a difficult two years for everyone this trip proved the value of incentive travel, the value of a hard-won reward for work well done. Each guest was beyond grateful to be experiencing new things in new places on a breath-taking holiday where they didn’t have to think about a thing. They earned it and will now strive to a be a part of the next adventure! As one guest remarked, “The whole thing was AWESOME, we felt like celebrities!”
