CTL Communications (CTL) is a boutique agency focused on communications strategy and creative execution. Our work spans all aspects of engagement from live events and trade shows to digital assets and brand campaigns. Since our launch in 2009, CTL has grown from a one-person operation to a team of over 30, supported by over 100 freelancers. 2020 started well, clients were delighted, new business kept coming, and the business was on a positive trajectory. Then the pandemic hit. For a business founded on live events and employee experience, the effect could have been catastrophic. CTL re-appraised, re-evaluated, and re-set. As a result, the team expanded by more than 50% in 2020 and business exceeded the post-COVID forecast by 5-fold. The agency grew over 15% despite 3-4 months of minimal revenue. We are up over 25% in 2021 as the strategy accelerates. We achieved this extraordinary success for two reasons: firstly, we recognized it wasn’t just a case of switching from live to online. Employees didn’t want ra-ra events from Chief Entertainment Officers. They wanted honesty and true engagement from leaders who recognized the very real demands of working remotely. Secondly, CTL reacted swiftly to pivot its own business model to provide the same employee experience online as with live events. Throughout the past year the CTL focus has been on work that is both bold and engaging, mixing traditional, digital, and interactive media whilst delivering precisely honed and effective messages. CTL created employee experiences with a greater focus on resilience and collaboration, whilst supporting leadership engagement on empathy and trust. For clients in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, CTL created impactful public health campaigns, milestone company events, product launches and more, delivering focused and innovative content that truly connects with audiences and delights its clients.
