COP26 - delivered by Identity

Identity

Client: Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office

COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021 brought together 120 World Leaders and 40,000 people from nearly 200 countries, with the goal to make real and urgent progress on climate change.

The conference was also one of the few large-scale live events to take place in 2021. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the pressure on Identity, the agency appointed to deliver this once-in-a-generation event, couldn’t have been higher. COP26 would need to provide a flawless experience for visitors and viewers alike, creating a conducive environment for the vital climate talks to take place. It would also need to deliver excellent value for the taxpayer and meet unprecedented sustainability commitments. Identity created an immersive, inclusive and accessible hybrid event. We had a holistic approach, fully considering everything happening on the stage and behind the scenes. The result was a global first for sustainable events and a new best-practice roadmap for event delivery. We are extremely proud of what Identity achieved at COP26, the vital support that the conference provided for the events supply chain, badly hit by the pandemic, and a lasting legacy of social value in Glasgow.
