The Google.org Impact Summit: EMEA 2025 was a new kind of event for the social impact sector. Commissioned by Google.org and delivered by Audience in central London, March 2025, it brought together over 200 senior leaders from the nonprofit, philanthropic and public sector to address a common industry challenge: turning discussion about emerging technology into practical, applicable action.

The Summit was designed as a retreat-style gathering, built around in-the-round plenaries, closed-door roundtables, facilitated workshops and one-to-one meetings. At its centre were four live nonprofit showcases demonstrating real-world AI applications across health, education, wildfire response and public services, embedded within the programme as working platforms rather than exhibition stands. A bespoke event app underpinned the experience, enabling personalised agendas, meeting requests and post-event follow-up, with over 90% of attendees actively using it on the day.

The results were strong across every measure. Attendance reached 200+ against a target of 100 to 200. Satisfaction scored 93% and app adoption exceeded 90%, with over 100 meetings booked through the platform and 124 qualified expressions of interest generated from the nonprofit demos.

The Summit was always intended to be the first in a global series. What it needed to do was prove the format could hold up at the level the series demanded. The APAC edition, delivered in New Delhi in February 2026, attracted 270+ delegates, again exceeding targets, with 90% leaving with a specific action to apply within 30 days. EMEA and US editions follow later in 2026.

The London edition of the summit was successful in launching a brand new event as well as establishing the standard every subsequent edition would be measured against.
