In April 2024, a global leading aesthetics company hosted its flagship convention in Seville, welcoming 400 top clients from Spain and Portugal. The core objectives of the event were clear:

o Strengthen brand loyalty o Drive sales o Reinforce the company’s position as the world’s leading aesthetics brand, through memorable education and cutting-edge experiences

Although sustainability was not the original focus, we identified a unique opportunity to create a win-win solution, by using it as a strategic driver to enhance the impact of the event. As the event management partner, we embedded environmental and social responsibility into every stage—from sourcing to planning, delivery, and communications—not as an add-on, but as a powerful brand amplifier.

We proposed a low-impact location, ESG-certified venues, plant-forward menus, digital materials, and circular practices. We prioritised local suppliers, to support the local economy and leave a positive legacy on the community. Pre and post event, we seamlessly integrated sustainability across guest communications and on-stage content, which aligned with the brand’s values, while also elevating the attendee experience.

Results were measurable and significant: o 60% of attendees chose train travel over air, which reduced CO2 emissions by 7 tons o CO2e per attendee per day fell well below industry benchmarks o Overall, we achieved a 20% reduction in carbon footprint and diverted 85% of waste from landfill o Crucially, sustainability enhanced brand engagement: 87% of attendees felt more connected to the brand, and 98% expressed overall satisfaction.

By driving commercial success, the event became a benchmark for sustainable design. This initiative proves that sustainability, when embedded strategically, enhances—not competes with—business goals. It illustrates how events can create value, demonstrating that sustainability is not only the right thing to do, but the smart thing to do for impact, ROI, and loyalty.
