League of Legends is one of the world’s most popular PC games, so when Riot Games announced the release of the mobile version of League, Wild Rift was expanding its open beta to Vietnam, Oceania, Taiwan, Europe, Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa, and Russia we knew we had to celebrate the launch with the fans and turn mobile skeptics into Wild Rift champions.
With the world in lockdown we knew we needed to create something accessible remotely. So we turned YouTube Live into a collaborative multiplayer game experience for fans all over the world.

Battle of Baron used a YouTube Live chat voting system which our live-rendered Baron responded dynamically to. Anyone, anywhere, could join the biggest Baron battle in history, casting their vote to choose their attack strategy and defeat the beast.
We gave fans the chance to be part of a special moment in the League of Legends universe. And they definitely showed up: at the height of the livestream, we had thousands of players and millions of live chat comments. To date, the livestream has close to half a million views, propelling the game to the #1 spot in app stores in multiple regions.
