We have embraced the changing face of face-to-face marketing by ensuring quality tech is in situ for hybrid events. We’ve also identified that delegate health and wellbeing is high on corporate agendas as they look to maximise their employee and client duty of care. We have noted that the former ‘return on investment’ has moved to ‘return on engagement’ and have identified products to facilitate conversation, collaboration and creativity. We’re also encouraging organisers to think about how the circadian rhythm fits in to the working day and why experiences such as ‘The Herball’ heighten delegate engagement. South Lodge, along with our fellow properties, took the brave and bold initiative to become a B Corp and in gaining certification, we’ve taken a self-depreciating look at every department, decision and action we take. B Corp has given permission for every person in our organisation to question and to look for opportunities to make a difference. While each action may be small, the collective impact will have a large effect. In terms of venues and hotels in the event sector, South Lodge stands out as pioneer by embracing not just the environment, but our people and our purpose. Being part of the B Corp has led to new business being won from likeminded corporates who are equally caring of the planet and its people with new clients to South Lodge including Jupiter Asset Management, Unilever and Bridgepoint. Not only are we a powerhouse for decision making; we are a powerhouse for purpose, people and planet.
