To launch Virgin Media O2’s 2025 business strategy, Wave partnered with the VMO2 internal communications team to design and deliver a bold leadership event that broke away from traditional corporate formats. Held at the Indigo at The O2, this high-impact experience brought together 550 senior leaders for a focused and immersive half-day event designed to drive clarity, connection, and alignment across the organisation.
At the heart of the approach was a “Less is More” philosophy—cutting through noise and complexity to spotlight what truly mattered. The agenda was deliberately reduced by 30%, allowing more space for meaningful discussion, sharper content delivery, and deeper engagement. Sessions were strategically crafted to ensure the key messages landed with precision and clarity, enabling leaders to confidently cascade the strategy to over 15,000 employees.
Sustainability was a core consideration from the outset. By selecting an O2-sponsored venue with fully integrated AV infrastructure, Wave minimised the event’s environmental footprint—reducing equipment transport, build requirements, and material usage. This smart logistical choice supported a leaner, greener delivery model without compromising quality or experience.
Creative execution was deliberately bold and streamlined, blending minimalist stage design with immersive 3D visuals, a custom soundscape, and editorial-quality hosting by BBC’s Amol Rajan. These elements worked together to create a highly engaging atmosphere that felt fresh, modern, and emotionally resonant.
The event delivered exceptional results. Post-event surveys showed that 95% of attendees left with a clear understanding of the strategy and felt equipped to communicate it effectively—marking a significant step forward in leadership alignment and internal engagement.
